Paul Herbert (born 1974) is an English martial arts instructor and champion in Shōbu Ippon competition. He has won titles in national and international competition in both kata and kumite. He began martial arts training in 1984 and in 1989 was graded to 1st dan. He ratified this rank with the JKA in 1995 with Keinosuke Enoeda (9th dan). Enoeda also graded him to 2nd and 3rd dan in 1996 and 1999 respectively. In 2003 he was graded to 4th dan. In 2008 he was promoted to 5th dan by Dave Hazard. In 2005 Herbert founded the International Shotokan Training Camp in Rouen.
